WOMEN'S SAFETY & SUPPORT SERVICES ESSEX

Your Safety & Support

Local & National support contacts for specialist help when you need it.
Pregnancy, birth and early parenthood can be times of vulnerability. For some women, this period may increase the risk of domestic abuse or trigger difficult feelings linked to past or recent experiences of sexual violence, pregnancy loss, bereavement or anxiety. We believe it’s important to acknowledge this openly and ensure you know where confidential, specialist support is available.
This page offers local and national support contacts so you can access specialist help when you need it. You do not need to explain everything to us, only what feels comfortable for you.
You are not alone, and support is available whether you are experiencing difficulties now, have experienced them in the past, or are supporting someone else.

If you are in immediate danger or at risk, please call 999. If speaking isn’t safe, dial 999 and press 55 (Silent Solution) to connect with emergency services quietly.
