We offer gender scans from 15 weeks onwards, as baby’s genitalia are developed enough to be seen clearly. Before 15 weeks, its often too early and accuracy is lower.
Sometimes, babies have other ideas and cross their legs or curl up!. If this is the case, we will ask you to do some wiggles, have a walk or eat some sugary snacks to encourage the baby to move. If this still doesn’t work and we are unable to confidently determine gender, a free rescan will be offered. Rescans are only offered if you are 15 weeks or more. Please do not book your gender scan before this gestation.
It’s rare, but possible if your baby is in a tricky position. But rest assured, we will always triple check before confirming and will only give you the result once we’re confident.
No problem! We have beautiful gender reveal cards in a sealed envelope that we can give you ensuring that the secret is kept until you are ready to find out during the big reveal!
Absolutely! You can upgrade your experience by adding a digital image and video package, extra scan photos, a heartbeat bear, or gender reveal cannon to your booking. These can also be purchased in the clinic after your scan
If you would like extra scan photos or the digital package, please let your sonographer know at the start of your appointment.

Yes, absolutely! We believe that as many people as practically possible should be able to meet baby with you. You can bring up to 5 guests to your appointment to share the moment. It’s a wonderful bonding experience!
All our scans are non-diagnostic, and the primary purpose of this scan is determining gender. But, on the rare occurrence that your scan identifies any issues, we will ensure that (with your consent) you will be referred to the most appropriate practitioner directly. This may be your midwife, GP, antenatal consultant, maternity triage, early pregnancy unit, A&E or the local fetal medicine department.
We understand how special these moments are, and we want you to enjoy your experience with us. However, we kindly ask that you do not film or take photos during your scan. This allows you to fully immerse yourself in the moment. Additionally, it allows our sonographer to focus fully on the scan and ensures a calm and professional environment.
We do offer high-quality videos and digital photos of your scan, which can be purchased if you’d like to capture and share the experience.
We do allow you to film gender reveal reactions, If you would like to arrange filming for this, please let us know when you arrive, and we will do our best to accommodate this after your scan. Thank you for your understanding.
